Originally from Anniston, Alabama, JJ graduated from Samford University with a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication, a concentration in public relations and a minor in film production. In addition to her studies in communications and public relations, she was able to pursue her love for visual storytelling through photography and videography during her time at Samford.
JJ’s problem-solving, detail-oriented nature initially drew her to the world of communications, but she stuck around for the creative side of the job. Her interest in the planning and implementation of creative projects led her to Scout where she has been able to dive into all things branding.
When she’s not working, JJ enjoys checking out local Birmingham shops and restaurants, going on long walks in Mountain Brook, snapping photos downtown and visiting her Goldendoodle, Jake, back home.
